LECC Junior 'Kangas'

Lower Eltham Cricket Club is a family oriented club with fantastic facilities for junior cricket located in picturesque Eltham Lower Park, 570 Main Road, Eltham. Come and play junior cricket for the 'Kangas'. See our programs below. New players welcome.

Junior pre-season key dates:  

  • Girls U15/L2 pre-season training at Cutting Edge in Bundoora -  Thursday 5 and 12 September, 5-6pm

  • Girls pre-season training - Monday 16 September, 4.30-6pm LECC nets

  • Boys/mixed pre-season training - Tuesday 17 September, 4.30 - 6pm LECC nets  

  • Girls season training starts - Monday 7 October, 4.30 - 6pm, LECC nets 

  • Boys/mixed season training starts - Tuesday 8 October, 4.30-6pm LECC nets

  • Round 1 matches - Wednesday 9 October    

  • Cricket Blast commences plus Junior Season launch - Sunday 13 October from 9.30 to midday

Cricket Blast program - starts October 2024!

Learn the skills to play cricket through fun game-based activities:

  • Recommended for kids aged 4+ of all skills and abilities  

  • 60 minutes of fun each session

  • Participate in skill development activities and modified games

  • Make new friends and learn new skills including batting, bowling, catching, throwing and teamwork

  • All kids get their own Blast Pack and a Blast Pass for Stars or Renegades matches

  • 10 weekly sessions 

  • Parents join in the fun!

  • All equipment supplied. 

  • Lower Eltham's Blast program in 2024 will run from 9.30am to 10.30am on the main cricket oval on Sundays. Season runs from 13 October to 8 December. Contact Nick Frayne 0407398081 for more information. Registrations open on PlayHQ.

LECC Junior Cricket Program 2024/25

We field junior boys and girls sides in the local DVCA competition

  • Girls U13 Level 1 and Girls U15 Level 2 teams and boys U10 and U12 (white) teams play matches on a Wednesday night (game start time 5pm). Round one starts Wednesday 9 October. 

  • Boys teams U12 and up play matches on a Friday night (game start time 5pm)

  • Matches are played from October to March - see PlayHQ or PlayCricket app for match schedule or DVCA Junior Playing dates (click on junior playing dates under the juniors tab to receive download). 

  • Junior girls train Monday nights and Junior Boys on Tuesday nights at Lower Eltham CC's nets. Training starts in the week of 7 October.
